Pre-War Soviet Prototype Trucks

This series of illustrations depicts several experimental Soviet trucks developed before World War II but never put into mass production.

The vehicles shown include:

ZIS-15 (1940 prototype) — a new medium truck design intended to replace earlier ZIS models. Production plans were interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. After the war the concept evolved into the ZIS-150, which entered production in 1947.

GAZ-11-51 prototype — an early development project created at the Gorky Automobile Plant to replace the aging GAZ-MM truck. Design work began in 1937 and two experimental prototypes were built in 1939. The project later evolved into the well-known GAZ-51.

YaG-7 — a heavy truck prototype developed by the Yaroslavl Automobile Plant as part of the modernization of Soviet heavy transport vehicles.

The illustrations were created in the style of classic scale model box art, focusing on historical atmosphere, vehicle design, and technical details typical for traditional transport and military vehicle illustrations.
